Michigan K9 dog recovering after being stabbed 8 times in the line of duty

K9 dogs are the most invaluable part of any police department. They can perform very useful tricks that people can’t like tracking down missing people or suspects.

But this job is not safe and sometimes like their human counterparts, the K9 dogs are also in danger.

Eli is a K9 for the Grand Rapids Police Department in Michigan but had a bad accident last month. He was a participant in a police standoff with 24-year-old Terry Junior Warren, a suspect in an assault. The dog suffered 8 stab wounds that affected his lungs.

Eli underwent major surgery and received a blood transfusion. Now the dog is healing and we all hope that he will soon be healthy again.
