The works shown below are a collaboration between the online store The Dreslyn and the lingerie collection Land of Women. Brooke Taylor Corcia, the creator of The Dreslyn, wanted to demonstrate that swimsuit advertising does not have to be procreative and that mature women can also be shown in them.
According to The Huffington Post, Rossi was chosen for the effort for several reasons: “She is a woman who exudes wellness and vitality,” Corcia said. “She believes in herself, she is a visible artist, and she looks after herself; these are words about women who live well, who enjoy traveling, who are level-headed and self-assured, and who can demonstrate it.”
When you look at the photos, it’s difficult to believe the model is 61 years old. Rossi demonstrates that you don’t have to be adolescent to be a fashion model. Believe it or not, Yasmina Rossi is 61 years old in these photographs. She was born in France in 1955 and spent her childhood on the island of Corsica. She is a model, a portrait painter, and a photographer who currently resides in California.
The images are part of a feud between The Dreslyn and Land of Women. The Dreslyn’s creator stated that the idea behind the request was to find a different way to advertise swimsuits – one that preserves a space from the reproductive way that is normally displayed.
The founder of the storehouse explained why Rossi was chosen: “This is a female who shines wellness and vitality, she is confident, she is an artist who looks after herself.” What’s the secret behind her beauty? “There is no distinctive secret,” Rossi stated. “The only thing I did before it became fashionable was eat organic food.” “I use oil on my skin, canola oil, and once a week I scrub the skin with olive oil and sugar, has one avocado every day, and eats organic meat and fish.” A fearless and original founder of a corporation who is not afraid to stand out from the crowd.
