The four boys Save the poor, abandoned dog that is bungee corded to the house.

The latter distinction was amply demonstrated when four young boys in Detroit’s 7 Mile neighborhood went above and beyond to save a dog who was in urgent need of assistance.

In the course of aiding a local woman who happened to be moving houses, brothers Kenny, Kenneth, and Kevin Dancy, along with friend Andrew Daniels, came into a scene that would have startled any adult.

They found an abandoned puppy that was bungee corded to the rear of a house. The poor dog was in a terrible state, emaciated and suffering from the cold.

The boys realized they had to move quickly. They released the dog from her shackles and brought her home with them so they could provide her with food and water after wrapping her in a winter coat to keep her warm. Sparkle was her given name.

As luck would have it, while walking Sparkle around the neighborhood, they ran upon members of the Detroit Pit Crew Dog Rescue.

When they told the men about the dog, they assumed that Sparkle had mange as well. The group took her in for veterinary care and took the time to express their sincere gratitude in a Facebook video that referred to the lads as “heroes.”

The founder of the group, Theresa Sumpter, told WDIV, “You could tell they genuinely love this dog.

They wanted to ensure that the dog was going to a nice location and were protective of the animal.

Sparkle proved negative for the mange at the shelter after being examined. She might be placed for adoption more quickly as a result. A sibling group, Pet Tales Rescue, oversaw the procedure and paired Sparkles with a foster mother who would provide her with all the affection she required.

The four little lads, who gained accolades from all quarters for their kindness, went on to save two additional pets from the same neighborhood. They were able to transport the dogs from the streets to the veterinarian for treatment once more thanks to Detroit Pit Crew Dog Rescue.

I am really happy for these wonderful boys. What exemplary role models they are for all of us.
