There are many organizations helping animals who are in dangerous situations. Crossfire Equine Rescue in Texas is an organization dedicated to rescuing horses.
Recently a mare named Fancy was rescued from the slaughterhouse. The poor horse was pregnant and had to get through the harsh circumstances of life. But as she spent her whole pregnancy in the slaughterhouse waiting for her turn she was a bit frightened and couldn’t trust people again.
Annie Shurtleff, the organization’s director began the attentive care of the horse. She and other caretakers did everything for her and Fancy started to warm up to the rescuers. Soon she gave birth to a little foal and was a perfect mom for the newborn.
