Louie is a 12-year-old little dog who lives with the Diver family in New Zealand . He was adopted from a shelter when he was just a puppy and has had an adventurous life with his family.

He has always liked to venture out for several days in the woods near his home, so his parents did not worry when he took a couple of days to return.

However, since he was no longer as young a puppy as before, his adventures began to be a thing of the past.

Marolyn Diver explained to the media that her mother had become concerned when she noticed that the dog had not appeared for an entire afternoon.

In recent years, Louie preferred to stay at the door of the house, so it seemed very strange to them that he did not appear. That was not normal behavior for the puppy, so they soon suspected that something strange was happening. They were very distressed.

His family’s fear was that due to the dog’s advanced age it would be difficult for him to find his way back home.

Luckily, Louie came home . The family celebrated his arrival, but were concerned to see that he was extremely exhausted and seemed to collapse from exhaustion in the garden.

Maddy, Rob’s dog, had been missing for days and they couldn’t find her whereabouts until Louie arrived at her house and was very insistent that they follow him.

Rob followed him and they found Maddy in a place where the little girl was stuck and unable to move.

Louie didn’t just point out where she was, he also moved logs and dug up dirt until he freed Maddy.

Marolyn said that Rob was touched by the help of the dog and decided to reward him. If it hadn’t been for him, no one knows what would have become of Maddy the dog.

“Rob gave Louie a nice treat of dog biscuits as a thank you . He knew that Louie might get in trouble for coming back to his house so late, so he decided to write a little note to explain his absence .”

They were all very proud to know that Louie had saved little Maddy’s life, but they were worried that she would not be able to recover from such an effort . Fortunately, the next day Louie had a visit from Maddy and his spirits began to improve more and more.

Louie and Maddy have been friends for many years.
