Kanawha-Charleston Humane in West Virginia has an annual holiday tradition. They fill Christmas stockings for all the good (and mischievous) shelter pets to take home with them when they get adopted.

Though the shelter makes the animals’ holiday a true celebration the only thing that they wish for Christmas is a forever home. As it was a rough year for the shelter the Christmas decorations and the fantastic idea about the stockings changed their mood for the better.
