Rescued from the slaughterhouse, 200 fluffy foxes find a safe haven in a village

Japan is full of magical sanctuaries. One of them is cat island or bunny island. This little village was overrun by rare foxes. The village was also known as Zao fox village and is located high up in the mountains of Miyagi (Japan).

These foxes were freed from slaughterhouses. Almost 200 foxes were roaming in this little village. So wherever you look you will see a rare fox.

The Japanese think that these foxes are mythical creatures living with humans during ancient times. They called them kitsune (foxes that possess paranormal abilities.

This is an excellent attraction place for tourists. The admission fee was about ¥1,000 but it was free for students and young children.
