While China always gets a bad reputation concerning animals, there is another side to the story too. There is a great organization for dogs in China.
Elderly women in the customs dog asylum in China take care of 1,300 dogs. Every day they wake up at 4 AM to feed the dogs there. They prepare 400 kg of food per day.
The women claim that this is not an easy job as dogs sometimes bit and nip at them. But the women do their work with great pleasure and devotion.
The shelter is run mainly on donations. They may not have much, but they do the absolute most with what they have.
