Cat waits patiently at the door in the rain for the owner to allow him in until a kind cop helps him.

A resident of 10 Downing Street, Larry the cat, have you ever met him?
Since 2011, Larry the cat has resided at 10 Downing Street. Under the administration of Prime Minister David Cameron, he was awarded the title of Chief Mouse Catcher after being adopted from a rescue facility. The Prime Minister’s mansion was infested with mice, and they required assistance trapping them.

Larry the cat appears.
The Battersea Dogs and Cats Home strongly recommended him due to his prowess in capturing mice. Regrettably, he had no need to prove himself to any humans—just like every other cat. They considered terminating him because they called him “Lazy Larry.” Who, however, could possibly resist this cute cat?

Larry remained, so apparently the Prime Minister can’t.
Moreover, Larry remained idle for a longer period of time than the Prime Ministers. Not bad, Larry, not bad going from stray cat to royal cat. With more than 814K followers on Twitter, he has even emerged as a social media superstar. His tweets are being closely watched by the public.

What exactly does he do in 10 Downing Street, though? A mouse? Has he ever caught one?
Indeed, he has, to answer that question. He captured a lot of mice during his first several months at 10 Downing Street. After that, the next year, another cat moved in, and they’ve been cooperating ever since.

He strolls around the property. He welcomes visitors and assists with security duties at the Prime Minister’s House. It’s a crucial position. He occasionally allows certain individuals to pet him, but just some.

Yet, Larry the cat does have a flaw.
He likes to stay indoors while it’s pouring. The lack of a cat door at the main entry is the issue. Larry will have to wait for someone to open the door so he can get back inside.

Yet on this particular day, it pays to get along with the officers who are securing the house.

The on-duty policeman observed Larry waiting outside for the door to be opened. Nevertheless, there were no visitors present, and it was unclear when the people inside would become aware that Larry was outdoors in the rain. The next best action he took was.

The door was rapped by the policeman.
Instantly, the door opened, allowing Larry to enter due to the on-duty policeman.

Larry is no longer required to trap mice in the house these days.
Larry is already a senior cat at the age of 15. Despite not being as excellent a hunter as he once was, he is still in fantastic shape. He now loves to relax on the furnishings and take pictures.

Larry, though, does have a benefit over every Prime Minister he has shared a house with, even if that were the case.

Everyone else, even the Prime Ministers, merely lives or stays at 10 Downing Street sometimes. He, however, resides there permanently.
