While on tour, Carrie Underwood takes in a rescue dog, which is “simply too sweet to be true.”

It’s always motivating to see famous people adopt animals from shelters, providing a wonderful example for their supporters to save needy animals.

One of the biggest music performers in the world recently did precisely that, making an unplanned detour on her tour to adopt a cute dog.

After winning American Idol in 2005, Carrie Underwood has become one of the most popular female musicians, selling over 70 million albums with singles including “Inside Your Paradise” and “Before He Cheats.”

Underwood made a significant social media announcement on Sunday, albeit it wasn’t the release of a brand-new album.

She got a new puppy from the rescue!

The celebrity said in a social media post that when she was on tour in Charlotte, North Carolina, Pawsitive Impact North Carolina Puppy Shelter personnel brought several pups to the concert venue to “make us all happy.”

And Carrie Underwood believed it was fate when she first saw a dog.

The country singer added, “We had been seeking for the proper dog for our family for a while and she looked just too good to be true!”

She gave the dog the name Charlotte “Charlie” Nilla Fisher, adopting her husband’s last name, Mike Fisher, a former NHL player.

According to Underwood, her new addition is now a part of the family and gets along well with her two dogs, Ace and Zero. She is content playing with her boys at home, according to Underwood.

We are grateful to Pawsitive Impact NC Dog Rescue for all the wonderful work they do and for introducing us to this precious pup.

Underwood is renowned for her passion for animals and for utilizing her celebrity status to promote shelters and rescues. She has appeared in PSAs for the Humane Society of the United States, served as the Pedigree adoption drive’s official spokesman, and even launched the Happy Paws Animal Shelter in her hometown.

The recently retired NFL icon Tom Brady also just announced he had adopted two Siamese cats after working at a shelter with his daughter. It’s been a busy week for celebs adopting stray animals.
