During X-Factor UK, Christopher Maloney finally performs in front of an audience after years of being too afraid to do so. Everyone erupted in applause as he performed “The Rose” by Bette Midler.
Being able to regulate your emotions is crucial for performing artists in order to connect with the audience and, well, not screw anything up. That’s easier said than done, though.
Stage fright is a genuine thing, and it’s normal to feel apprehensive and frightened before giving a performance in front of a large crowd, especially if you’ve never been on stage before.
The man in the video below is an expert on what it means to push yourself beyond your comfort zone and confront your anxieties in order to achieve your objectives. Christopher Maloney was really anxious and stressed when he entered the audition room for The X Factor UK since he was on a global platform in front of the judges and everyone else in the audience. The man was able to keep his emotions in check and use his beautiful voice to enchant the crowd.
