A police officer saves a ginger kitten, and the two have become best friends.

After a coworker discovered a cat in the rain last week, the Spartanburg, South Carolina, police officer acquired a brand-new companion.

Because I have another rescue at home who is presently feeding her four babies, I offered to take her, Garrett said ABC News.

He said that Toothless, his cat, was discovered in his garden as a kitten just last year.

He went on to remark, “Toothless was really smaller than Squirt when we found her in our yard last year. “When playing outside with my son, I was on the verge of tripping over Toothless. She was so little that she couldn’t even walk. After receiving our care, Toothless gave birth to four kittens three weeks ago.

Squirt was adopted by Toothless, who was able to feed her alongside her own babies.

He said, “That’s one of the few reasons I didn’t take her to the Humane Society, but instead brought her home. “That worked out because she needed a mom,”

Garrett continued, “She goes about the home and she already looks 100 times better than when we discovered her.

With a family of six cats and two dogs, Garrett’s home is now fully occupied, but Garrett quipped that his fiancée is totally cool with it.

Garrett has rescued several animals in addition to this cat.

Pictures Garrett uploaded to Imgur show that while on patrol, he also discovered and assisted mistreated dogs.

According to BuzzFeed News, one day, the evening after bringing Squirt home, Garrett discovered a blind dachshund.
