Officer Joseph Puglia shown his heroic qualities by risking his own life to save a puppy that was in trouble.
After getting lost on a busy freeway and being hit by a car, a little dog found himself in serious jeopardy.
Fortunately, Officer Puglia observed what occurred and took swift action.
Puglia stopped his car and sped onto Interstate 272 to help the injured dog despite the grave risk to life and limb.
Puglia initially had doubts about the pup’s survival following the collision, but when he noticed that the dog was still alive, he exhaled with relief.
He brought the puppy back to his car after wrapping it in an emergency blanket.
