There are a lot of black bears in North Carolina. As a result, Asheville resident Patrick Conley wasn’t alarmed when he saw a large bear wandering around his property.
The black bear started to frequent his land regularly, but she was abruptly stopped. Simon, Patrick’s furry friend, had mysteriously vanished, leaving Patrick perplexed. One day he was thrilled to see the bear again. When he saw what he had accomplished, joy flooded his heart. Simon wasn’t alone this time; two young bear cubs were trailing their mother. Mommy bear chose to do this as a way to thank her human partner for being kind to her throughout their relationship.
Patrick, who loves animals, thought this was a very moving experience. He was fortunate enough to capture this once-in-a-lifetime event on camera. Let the mother bear and her cubs roam freely on Patrick’s property, please. He didn’t want to restrict their conversation in any way. The bear family approached the porch of the house, took a few sniffs, and then slink away into the woods.
