In early March, Lisa gave birth to a litter that was much larger than anyone had anticipated. Lisa delivered twice as many puppies as everyone had anticipated.
Fortunately, Lisa was well-prepared and adapted to motherhood quickly, enabling her to give her large new family her full attention. Because there were so many puppies, Lisa’s rescuers had to assist her by taking care of them.
The young dogs are typically acting well and maturing as they should, and that’s all that matters. It’s a challenging task that no one anticipated.
