Stray Cat Gets Her Dream Job And A Forever Home After Sneaking Into A Nursing Home

A culture of love and compassion must always be upheld for a healthcare facility to feel like a home. Because of this, nursing homes go to great lengths to ensure that their staff and volunteers are the most qualified and compassionate possible. To the Nursing Home’s surprise, however, they didn’t have to look very far to find their best healthcare volunteer because she was the one who discovered them.
St. Augustine Health Ministries is a nursing home that a stray cat in Cleveland, Ohio, discovered and decided she wanted to live and work there. Oreo, the cat, ended up being the best volunteer St. Augustine had ever had. Both residents and staff adore her. Oreo makes the majority of the residents feel at home because they all had pets at home. Oreo is a great help to the staff; she waits by the residents while they wait for their ride, cuddles up next to the wheelchairs, and even offers to work the front desk. She was just a stray cat before sneaking into St. Augustine, but now she has a family and a permanent residence to call her own.
