“Kissing Heaven”: Angelina Jolie Shared Rare Photos With Her Late Mother!

However, on the 73rd birthday of her late mother Marcheline Bertrand, who passed away 15 years prior, Angelina Jolie uploaded a childhood photo along with a touching caption on her Instagram page.

Ovarian and breast cancers are common in female family members of Jolie, and Bertrand lost her fight against them at the age of 58.

Jolie learned that she had a faulty BRCA1 gene at the age of 37, which elevated her chance of breast cancer by 87% and her risk of ovarian cancer by 50%.

She chose to take preventive action and have her organs removed to preserve her life after undergoing a number of tests, despite the early menopause’s negative effects.

In order to increase awareness of the value of women’s health and the necessity of taking preventative steps for those who are at risk, Jolie made her experience public. She sees it as her responsibility to support individuals who are at cancer risk and to spread awareness in honour of her mother.

Jolie urged women to prioritize their health and get annual cancer tests as she put an end to her message, especially those who had a family history of the disease.

Laima Vaikule, a musician, and Italian supermodel Bianca Balti have both spoken about their experiences with cancer and taken preventative precautions.
