Brazilian Joao Stanganelli Jr. is a unique individual. Not just because he knits, either. But due to the fact that he knits. These “vitiligo dolls” are dolls, but not just any dolls.
This is the exact illness that the 64-year-old Brazilian suffers with. As a result of the social and psychological effects of vitiligo, Joao made the decision to use his products to assist others.
A skin pigmentation condition called vitiligo causes white spots to develop on the body. This has no impact on health in any manner, but it may give rise to fears, particularly if the spots cover the face and other exposed body regions.
Even though our hero had the sickness for 30 years and was an adult at the time, he still felt pain.
What can we say about kids with vitiligo who need to socialize and adjust to themselves?
The Brazilian and his wife started knitting when they had more leisure time. He initially found it challenging, but now he is powerless to stop!
The first was a doll made just for Joao’s granddaughter in honor of her grandfather. A thought then appeared.
In order to help disadvantaged children feel loved and normal, regardless of their diagnosis, the guy has since started knitting “inclusive dolls,” some of which even incorporate wheelchair toys.
And it’s fantastic!
