There is a remarkable tale from China. Back in 2008, a homeless man by the name of Xiong was doing his routine trash-digging for plastic bottles.
He was about to make a startling discovery, though. His life dramatically altered after that.
Then, while looking through a garbage can, Xiong unintentionally discovered an odd bundle. When he heard a child crying, he turned to see a newborn child wrapped in a blanket, having been abandoned by his own mother.
Unfortunately, in today’s environment, it’s not uncommon to hear about heartless women who toss away their children. Not all of them succeed in staying alive.
But Yanyan, a young child, was fortunate since it turned out that a strange homeless person was friendlier than her mother.
Xiong was aware of the overcrowding, unfavorable living conditions, and personnel shortages at Chinese orphanages.
He reasoned that by keeping the child and raising her alone, he could provide her more love and care. She would now be his daughter, he determined.
The infant turned out to be an extremely intelligent girl, according to Xiong.
She learns to read from him, and she already memorizes a few verses. Sadly, there are lots of issues. They read by the light of the streetlamps while living beneath the bridge.
The girl’s inability to attend school due to her lack of a residence permit worries the girl’s father, who is homeless.
Maybe the authorities will assist this strange family. He and his pals educate the infant to write and read in the interim.
Every year on his daughter’s birthday, Xiong spends money and collects bottles to take pictures of her. Such images have already accumulated in a large collection.
Despite her unsanitary living situation, the youngster had a healthy childhood.
Xiong acknowledges that he occasionally goes without food because he gives his daughter the last of everything. He vows never to allow her to go hungry.
Yanyan also cites her father as her home, saying, “My dad is where my home is.”
A youngster should not naturally develop in such circumstances. However, she wouldn’t have survived in the same trash can eight years ago if it weren’t for Xiong.
It is quite incredible that this poor man chose to dedicate his life to someone else’s child who ultimately served no use.
Maybe someone will step up to aid them, and the kid will be able to enjoy a regular life. She currently only has her father’s unending devotion, though.
