John Goodman, best known for his roles in “The Big Lebowski” and “King Ralph,” has undergone an incredible transformation by losing over 198 pounds.
The actor dazzled on the red carpet at the 62nd Monte Carlo Television Festival, garnering praise from onlookers and earning the moniker “incredible.”
John began his weight-loss journey in 2007 when his weight was almost 398 lbs. Unexpectedly, he was able to perform these changes without undergoing surgery. At first, he completely stopped drinking, which marked a significant shift in his way of life.
He lost 99 lbs in 2016. At that point, he made the decision to engage a personal trainer and commit to frequent, difficult workouts. Goodman challenged himself by going to the gym six days a week and aiming for up to 12,000 steps each day. He also adopted the Mediterranean diet, eating primarily fish, vegetables, nuts, fruits, and olive oil.
John Goodman made his acting debut in “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” on Broadway in 1978. He started appearing in movies in 1983, with major roles in “Arachnophobia” with Jeff Daniels and “Sea of Love” with Al Pacino. He appeared in “King Ralph” in 1991, in addition to “The Big Lebowski,” “The Artist,” and “Argo,” all of which received praise for his great acting.
